Digitalisation offers businesses the opportunity to become more efficient, improve quality, scale faster, improve competitiveness and win new customers. And yet almost one-third of Irish companies have no strategy for this, according to a report launched on 5 December 2017 by Siemens. The report highlighted that Irish companies have yet to fully appreciate and unlock the value presented by digitalisation, which involves integrating Big Data and New Business Models to deliver increased productivity and boost competitiveness. Realising these potential benefits requires a range of different actions and strategies.
