The Young European Research University Network (YERUN) is an organisation to strengthen and facilitate cooperation in the areas of scientific research, academic education and services of use to society among a cluster of highly-ranked young universities in Europe. YERUN members are universities with a strong interdisciplinary character, of relatively small-scale and with a flexible structure, which facilitate innovation in their respective research and education fields.
YERUN organised its Launch Event on 7 November 2017, in Brussels, Belgium. The event was hosted by MEP Soledad Cabezon (R&D), rapporteur of the Parliament Report on the mid-term evaluation of Horizon 2020. Mr Keith Sequeira (Commissioner Moedas’ cabinet) gave an update on Commission’s preparatory work for FP9. In addition to that, members of the network presented 6 key EU collaborative projects and gave an update of their future activities and the YERUN position on FP9.
RECAP’s coordinator, Jorg Domaschka, presented the RECAP project at the Added Value of EU-funded Collaborative Research session. The slides are available below, as well as on the RECAP SlideShare page.
