Ireland is seen as a “Digital Gateway to Europe” and recognised as a leading location for Data Hosting. However, with the emergence of the Zettabyte era and the volume of globally generated data expected to increase one hundred fold by 2025, what must Ireland do to bridge the challenges associated with such a fast-growing industry and continue to seize the global opportunity that will maintain Ireland’s position as a major player in the digital revolution?
On 10 April 2018, IC4, in collaboration with Host in Ireland and the RECAP project, will be holding the second symposium in a series of quarterly events on data centres. This half-day event of Keynotes, Panel Discussions and QAs will discuss the current, short term and longer term risks and opportunities facing the industry, as well as the latest research in the fields of edge and fog computing.
