On February 25-28, the Tieto team attended the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. They presented a demo of a service-oriented architecture supporting 5G user traffic featuring RECAP. 5G and service-driven networks will accelerate the number and quality of new services operators introduce, that is why Tieto tackled into how the future network architecture will meet the ever-increasing data and application flexibility demands. In the demo, they showed how to leverage Kubernetes, microservices, containers and create a high-performance packet processing pipeline to deliver a 5G service-oriented network.
The Tieto representative showcased a robust, responsive and efficient service-oriented architecture for 5G user traffic and explained how it performed for large-scale and dynamic traffic models generated with their 5G data-driven testbed, beyond average live network complexity. Apart from the demo, a number of flyers were distributed to the attendees interested in the project and its outputs.
